Hello Senior Parents/Guardians, I have recently shared a scholarship sponsored by the American Legion Aux for sons/daughters or grandsons/daughters of a living, deceased veterans. Candidate must be pursuing something in a medical field. Applications are due June 1. I have copies of scholarships available in my office for those interested!

Hello Senior Parents, I recently emailed a second American Legion Aux scholarship for daughters/sons, granddaughters/grandsons, great granddaughters/great grandsons of deceased or living veterans in the US Armed Forces during eligible dates for membership in the American Legion (April 1917-November 1918) and at any time after December 1941. Scholarship recipients are selected based on character, Americanism, leadership, and academics. I have applications in my office. FFA Officers Attend SLLC The Montgomery FFA officers, along with advisor, Mr. Ulrich, attended the FFA State Legislative Leadership Conference in Harrisburg over the past few days. The students participated in various workshops to learn about current issues in agriculture. They also attended a meeting with state legislators to discuss these issues and took a tour of the capitol building.

Seniors are encouraged to apply for the Donald Edwards Scholarship by April 15th. Donnie’s good friend, Joe Cipriani, sponsors a scholarship in his memory every year. It is a wonderful way to honor Donnie. We would like to see as many seniors apply as possible. I have paper copies of the scholarship in my office. Boyer Named as Artist of the Week Congratulations to this week’s Artist of the Week, senior, Lexi Boyer. Lexi has been nominated for her work with the Virtuoso program but is equally as active in, and dedicated to, the band program. Lexi has been involved with the Virtuoso program since elementary school. She has performed supporting and lead roles in both plays and musicals. She has also served as an organization officer, junior high mentor, and dance captain. She is equally dedicated in the areas of singing, acting, and dance, and is on task as a student and leader in the program. In band, Lexi is involved in Marching Band, where she is a section leader, and Concert Band. In her spare time, she is also learning piano. Outside of the music program, Lexi is an honors/AP student, NHS officer, and a member of the Sign Language/Music club. Upon graduation, Lexi will be attending Northampton Community College and hopes to get involved in community theatre as well as continuing to progress on piano. Congratulations and thank you, Lexi!

Dylan Hill was recently awarded the prestigious Johnson Scholarship from Washington and Lee University. This scholarship honors academic achievement, leadership, integrity, and the potential for campus and civic contribution. Dylan competed for this premier, merit-based scholarship through an intensive application and on campus interview process. Congratulations on this tremendous honor, Dylan!
