Hello College Bound Parents and Guardians of Seniors! I have recently sent information via email to seniors about the 2025 Muncy Lodge Scholarship. The due date for this scholarship is 4-11-2025. Winners will be notified by 4-18-2025. The Muncy Lodge Scholarship is worth $500. Please encourage your son/daughter to apply for this scholarship if they plan to pursue any type of higher education after high school. PCT Medical Terminology Field Trip Earlier in January, our PCT Medical Terminology Dual Enrollment students took a field trip to Penn College’s Nursing and Health Sciences building to explore exciting career paths in healthcare! They toured state-of-the-art facilities, interacted with high-tech simulation equipment, and learned about the real-world challenges healthcare workers face. Penn College also showed how they’re helping students achieve their career goals—empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders to make a lasting impact in their communities!

Chemistry Students Have One SWEET Lesson Today, students in Mr. Crawford’s Chemistry classes learned the science behind ice cream—literally! They explored phase changes, discovering how adding rock salt to ice lowers the freezing point of water by interfering with the intermolecular forces in water, causing an endothermic reaction and helping them make delicious homemade ice cream. Who knew chemistry could be so sweet?

The Montgomery Area School District is accepting applications for Head Varsity Football Coach. Ideal candidates would have prior varsity coaching experience; a focus on developing the student/athlete; strong leadership and communication skills; knowledge and experience with the college recruiting process; and a commitment to building a strong off-season program. Barto Attends District Band and is Named Artist of the Week Congratulations to sophomore, Aubrey Barto, who auditioned and earned a percussion slot in the 2025 PMEA District 8 Band. Aubrey was among students from over 40 school districts who attended the 2-day festival in Berwick at the end of last week. The Montgomery Arts programs would also like to honor her as this week’s Artist of the Week in the areas of Marching and Concert bands.

Important Information for the 2025-2026 school year from the Nurse: If you have a child attending PK, K, 7 or 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year, please see your parent portal dashboard for information on immunization requirements. If you have a child attending PreK, 1, 3 or 7th grade for the 2025-2026 school year, dental exams are required. Physical exams are required for PreK, K, 6 and 11th grade. Information on this can be found in the parent portal dashboard, if you have a child that will need these. Please remember to get a copy to the nurse after these are completed. The boys wrestling team earned the #6 seed in the DIV Team Duals which start this Wednesday night. They will host #11 seed, North Penn Liberty, at 7:00pm in the high school gym. Continued FFA Success at Area CDEs Congratulations to Mr. Chris Ulrich and his FFA students on their success today! Students travelled to Danville High School to compete in the Small Engines and Ag Mechanics CDEs.
