The Montgomery Area School District is accepting applications for part-time Special Education Transportation Aides to assist on daily AM and PM transportation routes at the rate of $30.00 per hour. School Police Officer

The Montgomery Area School District is accepting applications for a full-time School Police Officer. The successful candidate will have retired from the Pennsylvania State Police or have successfully completed the basic training as required by the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission. Salary will be based on experience; benefits available. Congratulations to rising senior, Caleb Parkyn, who was selected by UPMC athletic trainers and sports medicine department as a student athlete of the year. Students are chosen after having had a sports injury where they showed perseverence through recovery and recuperation with a positive attitude. Montgomery athletic trainer, Cecile Zechman,nominated Caleb. Congratulations to the other local athletes who were also axknowledged.

Fourth quarter report cards have been published to the SIS parent and student portals. Report cards for all students in grades 7-12 are being mailed home as well. These will be picked up tomorrow by USPS for delivery. Have a great summer, Dr. Stoudt

Montgomery Esports Team Wins State Championship The Montgomery esports program claimed their first rocket league esports state championship at Mount Aloysuis College. Congratulations to the team and coaches on an amazing first season of competition!

While our team is ready for a summer break, we are excited to announce that our Broadcasting program will be working with PA Football News for the upcoming fall football season. This is a great recognition for our school and program as well as a tremendous resume builder for the students involved. On a weekly basis, our students will be doing videography, photography, copy writing, on camera recaps, and editing at games and/or during the school day. There is also a possibility of covering some games for Lycoming College. Thank you to Billy Splain from PA Football News! We look forward to taking on this amazing hands-on opportunity with you and your team.

Rep. Flick Awards Citations of Excellence Special thanks to PA Representative Jamie Flick for taking the time to visit our high school this morning. Flick awarded several citations of excellence to our wrestling program. Rep. Flick continues to be a voice for the amazing accomplishments of students in our area. Thank you, Rep. Flick, for your service and dedication to public schools.
