Fall Sports Physicals Reminder
The Montgomery Area School District is accepting letters of interest to fill the position of school board director representing Montgomery Borough, Region 1. Letters should be submitted to Mr. Grant Evangelisti, Business Manager, Montgomery Area School District, 120 Penn Street, Montgomery, PA 17752. Deadline is June 10, 2025.

Congratulations to the week 4 and 5 Athlete's of the Week;
Week 4 - John Shrimp-Boys Track and Field
John has been doing an amazing job this year for the boys team competing in the mid-distance and distance events. John qualified for district in the 800 and the 4x 800 relay. John's best time in the 800m run is a 2:02 and he is seeded 8th in the event. He is looking to break Delmar Finck's school record at districts!

Week 5 - Parker Persing - Baseball
Parker has been swinging a very hot bat as of late this year. Last week against Muncy and Bucktail he hit .667 with 5 RBI. Overall, this season he is hitting .378 with 17 RBI and 17 runs scored. Not only is he performing at the plate, but he is also playing very solid defensively at first base for the Red Raiders. He is fielding .933 and has only 2 errors this season.

Softball - Madisyn Miller
Madisyn has been playing some unbelievable softball this year for the Lady Red Raiders. She is hitting an amazing .574 with 31 RBI and 28 runs scored. She also has two home runs!
Way to go Madisyn!
Girls Track and Field - Ella Nagel
Ella has been doing an outstanding job running distance for the girls team. She qualified for districts in both the 1600m and 3200m runs. Her mile time of 5:38 has her seeded 13th and her time of 12:10 has her 7th in the 3200! At the Mt. Carmel meet she ran her fastest time of the year of 12:10 in the 3200 and broke the school record!
Way to go Ella!

Congratulations to the track and field team's district qualifiers!
The Montgomery Quiz Bowl team represented our small town well at the NAQT Small School National Championships in Chicago April 24 - 27th.
The team finished 66th out of 88 teams in their division, which was larger than last year's division and consisted of much more experienced teams of Juniors and Seniors. Still, John Grosso placed 69th out of 514 students and Nova Bartlett placed 240th out of 514 students, and outstanding contributions were also made by teammates Audrey Cook and Santino Williams.
