Logan Joy Named UPMC Honoree -
Congratulations to rising senior, Logan Joy, who was honored with this year’s UPMC SAPA award. Here are a few words from Cece about him: “He’s a great kid and had such a good attitude when it came to his recovery. I’m excited to see him back on the field this fall for an awesome senior year.”
Montgomery also won the Champions Cup again this year due to multiple playoff runs, district wins, and state wins.🏆

Communications Students Accepted to Penn State Summer Camp -
WE ARE proud to announce that rising seniors, Cash Hill and Connor Jarrett,have been accepted into Penn State’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications Broadcast Journalism summer camp. Cash will be specializing in filmmaking and Connor in podcasting. Both will be in the fourth level of Montgomery’s Multimedia Communications program next year and are excited to bring their skills back to our projects and competitions. Congratulations!!💙🤍

Freshmen Class Travels to Baltimore -
This past Friday, the freshmen class traveled to Baltimore, Maryland as part of their Honors Biology and Integrated Science curriculum. Under the direction of teacher, Ms. Nina Green, students visited the National Aquarium to witness the biodiversity of many different ecosystems, walked along Inner Harbor on their way to climb Federal Hill, and strolled through Fort McHenry where Francis Scott Key composed our National Anthem. Students ended the day with a thrilling and entertaining show at Medieval Times. Many students remarked that it was “the best field trip they have ever been on.” Thank you, Ms. Green, for organizing this hands on experience for kids!

STRONG Team Holds Third Annual Academic and Service Pep Rally -
Today, the high school STRONG student leadership team held their third annual Academic and Service Pep Rally. Nearly every high school student had the opportunity to stand up today and be recognized for work and/or service in their classrooms, clubs, and academic competitions. Special thank you to Principal Bozella and Vice-Principal Snyder for hosting and to all our amazing sponsors.
The STRONG team stands for self-driven, tolerant, resilient, optimistic, nice, and giving. These students work year round to provide incentives, assemblies, and to encourage staff and the student body to want to be in school. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible.

Congratulations to Parker Persing who earned his 75th RBI at this past Friday’s game against Muncy. In the same game, Bennett recorded his 100th career hit.

Waring Spends Day with State Representative Flick -
The Montgomery FFA organization is proud to share that sophomore, Chase Waring, spent the day with State Representative Jamie Flick at the capitol building in Harrisburg last Tuesday. Dressed in his formal FFA blue and gold, he was recognized on the house floor and got to take part in the "Blessing of the Balers."

The Board Meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, 5/19 has been rescheduled to this coming Tuesday, 5/12 at 6PM.

Congratulations to 8th grader, Amelia Russell, on being named the April Artist of the Month. She played Betany in last week’s spring musical, “Once Upon a One More Time”, and is also a member of Junior High Concert Band.
