The Regular October meeting of the Montgomery Area Board of School Directors will be held as a remote meeting with a Zoom link available to all community members.  In order to attend this October 19, 2021 meeting you must have a registered (free) Zoom account. The link to the meeting is provided below and will open around 6:45PM.

Specific to public participation in this board policy is:
 
The Board requires that public participants be residents or taxpayers of this district or
anyone representing a group in the community or school district. (Must identify what Montgomery Community Group when registering to speak)
any representative of a firm eligible to bid on materials or services solicited by the Board.
any district employee.
any district student.
All individuals wishing to participate in an Open Board meeting shall register their intent with the Board Secretary 3 days in advance of the meeting and shall include the name and address of the participant, topic to be addressed and group affiliation, if applicable.

This is regarding the first public comment period on agenda items only. The board agenda is posted to the district website under the District Tab, then Board of Directors.
 
The second comment period listed on the agenda is for public comment on non-agenda items. For this comment period, residents or taxpayers must register to speak during the meeting by placing their name, and address in the comment section during the Zoom, after which time you will be recognized.
 
Please be aware that for each public comment period, our policy states:
 
Participants must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface their comments by an announcement of their name, address, and group affiliation if applicable.
Each statement made by a participant shall be limited to 3 minutes’ duration.
No participant may speak more than once on the same topic, unless all others who wish to speak on that topic have been heard.
All statements shall be directed to the presiding officer; no participant may address or question school directors individually.
