The Montgomery Area School District takes great pride in the relationship it has developed with the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. As the curriculum evolves for our students pursuing tech prep education, we continually turn to the college for guidance in this area. After much discussion with the college and our staff, the decision was reached to offer more dual enrollment courses in the technology arena. These courses are offered through a program that is grant supported at the college level called Penn College NOW. Students enrolled in Penn College NOW courses have the capacity to earn high school as well as postsecondary credit if they satisfactorily complete the course and Penn College assessments. The cost to the student is $20 per credit and is available only to juniors and seniors. Students may also choose to take the courses only for high school credit at no out of pocket expense. Additional information regarding this worthwhile program can be found HERE.
