Cooperative Education links industry to education. Through the cooperative education course, students will work at local businesses and industries to further master specific skills in addition to receiving credit toward graduation requirements. In order to qualify for the Cooperative Education program students must successfully complete all core subject area requirements. Students must also present the following if they are going to participate in this program: a valid driver’s license, proof of valid car insurance, and proof of valid health insurance. Students must also receive approval from all key academic instructors. Students will spend time both in the classroom and on a field experience. Classroom time will be spent studying work place readiness skills, appropriate dress, on the job demeanor and other skills required to function in the workplace as well as discussing their field experiences.
